About VisaPathway

VisaPathway is an independent visa requirements checker for international travelers, students, and workers. We help you understand requirements before you apply.

Why we built this

Millions of people apply for international visas each year. A significant minority — particularly applicants from Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia — face rejections that could have been avoided with better information about requirements before applying. Visa rejections are expensive: they consume application fees ($100-500 per application), waste weeks of preparation time, and can damage future application chances if rejected for "insufficient documentation."

The information needed to apply correctly is publicly available — buried in embassy websites, scattered across forums, and written in legal language that most applicants find inaccessible. VisaPathway exists to translate this information into clear, actionable guidance organized by destination and purpose.

Our methodology

VisaPathway uses official embassy and consulate websites as the primary source for requirements, processing times, and documentation lists. We supplement this with:

We update country-specific requirements when official sources change, typically within 14 days of policy updates. Applicants should always confirm current requirements with the relevant embassy before submitting applications.

How we stay independent

VisaPathway is not a visa application service. We do not file applications on your behalf, and we have no commercial relationships with embassies, consulates, or government agencies.

We monetize through display advertising and affiliate referrals to legitimate visa-related services (travel insurance providers, document translation services, immigration lawyers). These commercial relationships do not affect the requirements information we publish.

Important disclaimer

VisaPathway provides informational content only. We are not immigration lawyers, not consular officials, and not authorized to provide legal advice on immigration matters. Information may become outdated as policies change.

For complex immigration cases, asylum applications, or situations where the legal stakes are significant, consult a qualified immigration lawyer in your destination country. For applications where you have specific concerns about your eligibility, contact the embassy directly before applying.

VisaPathway helps with information; final decisions and responsibilities remain with applicants and the issuing authorities.
